Aplix

Aplix is the brand name for a particularly soft type of hook-loop/velcro fastener. It is commonly used in nappy and wrap manufacture as it is much softer than velcro and most other brands.

It is avaiable in white only and consists of two parts:

loop - which is the soft fuzzy part which forms the largest area

hook - stiffer part which attaches to the loop (used in smaller quantities)

In terms of quantity 1m of aplix loop is enough for around 6 nappies/wraps (you need less hook-side). Remember you will need both sides of the tape for fastening.

Aplix is sold in 10cm lengths, mainly as very little hook part is needed for each nappy/wrap. Both sides are 1.5" (approx. 4cm) wide
